The problem of most bookmarking software tools is list which contains only some hundred different bookmarking sites. That's obstructive if you want to promote your site only with backlinks from niche sites which is the same as your topic. There are many list out there, but do you know the guys from W3rocks? They have made a huge list of thousands of different Pligg, Scuttle, ScuttlePlus and PHPDug Sites which can be directly imported in bookmarking software like bookmarking demon. The lists are checked and up to date that about 99% of the sites work (which is not the normal case..)
The best about is, that you get a huge databse of backlink sources with this list. There are many bookarking with pagerank and many backlinks. If you search dofollow bookmarking sites then you'll also get alot. The price of $35 is in my opinion a little bit much, but worth it, because the lists are always updated.
